Another view of arts vitality can be found below in arts revenue per capita, which includes total revenue for regional arts groups from all sources, including the government, donations and ticket sales.

This category could be said to measure the overall financial strength of the region’s arts scene, and the 2012 numbers show Pittsburgh coming in at below the benchmark average with $126 in revenue per capita – down from 2011 when Pittsburgh ranked just above the benchmark region with $127.27 revenue per capita.
