Nonprofits in Allegheny and Westmoreland counties participated in 24 hours of online fundraising last Oct. 3. The annual Day of Giving matched individual gifts with pro-rated funds from The Pittsburgh Foundation and its related funds for a one-day total of $8.6 million. Arts organizations were big winners in the annual event.
